Mr. Almeida, who serves as Design and Construction Development Director is well versed in Class A facility design and construction. He has been involved in the design and construction industry for over 20 years working in the commercial and residential sectors.  The last 12 years he’s been focused almost solely on healthcare, but has experience in mixed use, mission critical and commercial developments as well.   Mr. Almeida has healthcare clients from North Carolina to Boise and has experience in working with both for-profit and not-for-profit health systems.

Prior to arriving at MedDevelopment, Mr. Almeida worked for Turner Construction, one of the leading healthcare builders in the nation. There he worked with clients on a full range of healthcare developments from tenant infill to ground up new hospitals. While at Turner, Mr. Almeida spent 7 years in the preconstruction and business development disciplines, which provides him a unique understanding of how design and construction can positively impact operational efficiency, flexibility of space, and total cost of ownership for healthcare developments.

Mr. Almeida earned his BS and MS in Engineering from the Missouri Institute of Science & Technology, an MBA in Finance from the University of Kansas, and has served on the Chamber Board and Planning Commission for the City of Olathe, KS
